Francesca Pang
Artist-Educator
Francesca Pang, from Richmond Hill, Ontario, works predominantly in the medium of painting, but also explores mark making through traditional printmaking. She received both her BFA with honours (2015) and her B.Ed (2016), specializing in the Artist in Community Education program, from Queen’s University. Pang has had group exhibitions at Duncan McArthur (2016), Art Mûr (2015), the Tett Centre for Learning & Creativity (2015), the Union Gallery (2014), the McKay Art Centre (2013), participated in the juried annual Cezanne’s Closet gala from 2013 – 2016, had a solo Chinese Calligraphy Exhibition at the Taiwan Economic and Culture Centre in Toronto (2010) and has work at the CAMH in Toronto.
In 2014, Pang was commissioned by Queen’s University to create a large-scale mural for the Walter Light Hall building. Since 2010, she has also inspired creativity in youth through instructing art and cultural programming in Richmond Hill, Unionville and Kingston.
